It’s not just about an official obligation to give out hampers to customers, it’s not about giving out Christmas cards, it’s definitely not about simply saying “Merry Christmas”, what then is this season about? It is about the love of Christ that must radiate from our hearts and spread to one another, it’s about the significance of the birth of Christ, who was born just for the purpose of dying for you and me. It is about love and a call to endless love.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13).
Everyday is Christmas
Jesus was born once to radiate an everlasting love. Christmas, no matter the philosophical background of the festive period, is a reminder of the significance of the birth of Christ and an ultimate call to love. As a result, I am encouraging you to take everyday as though it were Christmas, love everyday, give hope to someone everyday, encourage everyday, motivate everyday, defend the truth everyday, stand for judgment and justice everyday; let Christ be reborn in you everyday, let Christ live in you everyday; BE LOVE!!!
Don’t Kill the Vibe
For many years, when asked “What are you doing for Christmas?” I always had this reply, “Sorry, I don’t celebrate Christmas”. Why? My church didn’t believe in Christmas, rather we were made to fast and go to church for one boring service. People kept giving us cards, but I don’t remember us giving cards first. We would be perceiving the sweet smelling savour of the fried rice and chicken being cooked and munched in our neighbours’ houses, while our tummies battled in a royal rumble. We couldn’t go and join them because we had already told them that we didn’t celebrate Christmas. What kind of life is that? Well, that was in the past, but until the love of Christ overshadowed me, I was still like that.
More and more, the devil keeps using religion to blind Christians and turn them from the major purpose of Christianity, which is love. I will keep saying it, this is one of the reasons why the worst set of humans in the world, apart from the Muslim jihadists, are the religious Christians. They hide under the shadow of religion and perpetrate evil against the innocent. Their hearts only cook and device evil, their minds are at best when perpetrating mischief, their thoughts are those of the devil himself. They worship God with their lips, they shout at the top of their voices, they bribe Him with their money, but their hearts are blacker than coal and they still expect to inherit glory? They Lie!
“But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” (Luke 11:42).
They oppress the poor, they take away the joy of the man who is just struggling to smile, they steal from the innocent; they work tooth and nail to see that the innocent are destroyed. When it’s Christmas (for those who believe in it), they think “Merry Christmas” is enough to cover for their evils? They lie!
An Incredible Act of Love
I recently watched a video where a Canadian airline company, WestJet, did something magnificent. Please enjoy!
Love or Die
This is a very simple situation, like head or tail, the following Bible passages (Luke 11:42 above inclusive) make it clear that it is either you are loving or you’re wasting your time:
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35). “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” (John 15:9).
“And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31).
This Christmas, make up your mind to go forward ever and backward never. Sin is not sin, sins against humanity are highly dangerous. That is why Jesus said “I will have mercy, and not sacrifice” (Matthew 12:7). If you are not loving, you are dead. You read the passages, those were the exact words of Christ. If you are thinking of heaven and flying in the skies when Jesus comes, you lie! The harlot has a 100% better chance than you, removing the possibility of abortions.
From the very bottom of my broken-yet-love-sealed-heart, from all the injustice and wickedness in Christendom, I wish you a Merry Christmas that words cannot describe and a Happy New Year that life itself cannot short-change!
Cheers and God bless you infinitely!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!
