During the Independence Day period last year, I wrote an article based on the Game of Thrones TV series titled “Nigeria: A Game of Thrones”. Indeed, the battle for the throne of Nigeria, which is the seat of the president, became a serious and deadly game like in the TV series. Threats were issued out by all tribes and parties; as a matter of fact, the international community had already predicted that Nigeria would fall apart come 2015. Well, to God be the glory, the throne is now occupied, and it was done with no bloodshed as in the series. All threats were nullified and the international community was put to shame, even many Christians who falsely prophesied doom on Nigeria based on their own ungodly projections were also put to shame. But wait, they weren’t wrong! Nigeria indeed was a deadly game of thrones; but there was a cheat code put into the game by hackers that turned everything around for good, what could it be?

The Cheat Code

God indeed has given us so many cheat codes in the Bible to make us successful and have dominion over everything and every situation in life, including the state of a whole nation. Look at what God Himself said in Jeremiah 29:7

“And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.”

God said “seek the peace of the city” then “pray for it” and “you shall have peace”. That was very self explanatory. If you want peace, you first be peaceful, envisage and work towards peace, then pray for peace, and obviously, if there is peace around you, you will also have peace. Many Christians were actually projecting war and dissolution, meaning that their words concerning Nigeria must have been words that instigated war and conflict. It is so shameful! Imagine a southerner saying to the hearing of an unlearned northerner that General Muhammadu Buhari would win but President Goodluck Jonathan would be declared the winner?

I was travelling to Port-Harcourt in March, and a south-south indigene said boldly in the bus “Yes! It is better for our brother (Jonathan) to be there and be stealing our oil money than for a northerner who doesn’t know where the oil is to be controlling it” Imagine the damage it would do in his/her mind? You are telling him that his vote will not count? If he then votes and it indeed doesn’t count, what do you expect an unlearned northerner with a history of violence to do? Why wouldn’t he fight, when his heart is already poisoned by your evil projection? So even though Jonathan actually and legally won the election, their hearts are already poisoned.

God said we should seek peace and pray for peace and then we shall have peace. This means that our words have to match our hearts, they have to be in agreement. That is why I said this in my 2014 Independence Day message,

“This is my message to the Nigerians and Christians busy deceiving themselves celebrating independence, going to church and praying “Independence Day Prayers” when they are major contributors to the bad situation of the country which will only change by our individual efforts of positive change, love, judgment and justice, which would then make our prayers make sense.”

Thank God for the revelation of Jeremiah 29:7, it was the application of that revelation that turned the situation of the country around for good and ensured the peace of the nation in which we all now have peace.

The Hackers

Even though the general Christian community proved themselves to be fake, ineffective, unscriptural and un-Christ-like as usual, there were a few members of this community who proved themselves to be true worshippers and faithful followers of Christ. This small group of people comprising different families and fellowships around the world laid it upon themselves to apply the scriptures and intercede for the country in prayer and actions that promoted peace; and I am very proud to be part of this small group of true worshippers. Middle last year, I enforced a rule in my family prayer that from henceforth, anybody who was asked to lead the prayer must also pray for the peace of Nigeria, especially with respect to the elections. By God’s grace, we prayed everyday from that time till date, only that now that peace is established, we are just thanking God for it and lifting up the newly elected officials into God’s hands for Spirit-led tenures. My prayer was centred on these major points: free and fair elections, non-sentimental voting, the establishment of God’s will as the president which would emerge from the non-sentimental votes, the frustration and disappointment of all plans, devices and efforts by the “enemy” to rig elections, cause havoc, instigate violence and bloodshed, and eventual war; and the exposure and open disgrace of such perpetrators and their sponsors within and outside the country. I am very sure we were not alone; others also joined in and some even started before us to pray for the peace of Nigeria. This brings me much joy to see the power of fellowship and prayer to influence the situation of a whole nation and has seriously increased my faith to accomplish anything in prayer.

Dream Revelations and Turnout of Events

It is important that I share with you dream revelations I had last year concerning the turnout of events, because initially, it wasn’t supposed to turn out the way it did, and yet it would have been peaceful; but there was a certain variable that was added by APC (All Progressives Congress) that led to a change of events which ensured their victory, which was still peaceful.

I first of all had a dream, which I shared with my family during prayer, in which the presidential election was conducted peacefully with Jonathan emerging the winner. But this was before the introduction of that new variable by APC. We continued praying and thanked God for the revelation, mostly the part of peace being established. I wasn’t necessarily in support of Jonathan, so I wasn’t thanking God that he was going to win, I rather just prayed that His will was done. I therefore didn’t share it outside my family, as it could instigate bias in prayer and also in the minds of Nigerians to vote sentimentally.

After a short while, Buhari announced his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Obviously, it was a politically influenced move, as inside sources confirmed that he was Bola Tinubu’s personally imposed candidate, but that move was the game changing variable. Not long after then, I had another dream, but this time, it was shady. The election was conducted but the winner didn’t seem to be Jonathan, it looked like Buhari had won. People took to the streets, but there didn’t seem to be violence, there was peace but the whole environment was rowdy. I shared it with my family during prayer and I continued my prayer, but this time, I included that particular part of non-sentimental voting and the establishment of God’s will.

Well, we all saw the outcome of the presidential election. It was reported that Jonathan even congratulated Buhari before INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) had officially announce Buhari as the winner. As a matter of fact, people even suggested that the February 14 original date was shifted because Jonathan saw that he was going to lose with the new variable and massive campaign strategy of APC.

I on the other hand, now see that the postponement was specifically for my good, this I would share in my next testimony. I am sharing this to show you that things were really happening in the spirit as we all were praying. Events were literally changing in the spirit as they were changing here in the physical and our prayer of intercession kept everything under control to bring it to the expected end (PEACE!).
