First Impression

Some weeks back I saw the heading of a shocking video on the Internet talking about a female preacher forgetting to stuff her nipples in during the course of preaching. Of course that wasn’t possible, possibly just another scam, people who just want to attract attention and increase traffic and there would be nothing of such. So I curiously clicked the video (audio was off), and the first thing I did was read the comments thread, that way I would see different opinions and be able to confirm if it was really true. I then saw a comment, of which after reading it; I was convinced it was the real deal. The comment was something like this:

The lady was preaching on patience and I patiently waited for those nipples to fall out, and I was duly rewarded.

I was pretty sure of the condition of that person’s heart and I quickly rushed to confirm for myself. What? It was real? I then noticed that the camera man kept zooming in on the nipples throughout the message. Well, I argued with a lady that there was no way she wouldn’t have noticed that she was bare, in her defence, the lady gave me an instance where she wore a black dress with a tube inside and she didn’t even know when the tube fell to her waist. I said to her, “but you were wearing a dress on top, and you were even wearing a bra” and she confirmed that. At the end of it all, we came to the conclusion that it was probably a mistake, but she had to be aware of the situation on ground, it wasn’t just possible for her to be oblivious of the fact that she was bare.

The Reality

Gospel from stripper's poleIn the process of research, I then came across a lot of blogs condemning her which claimed that was her own style, preaching bare. I couldn’t believe it, so I researched further for her details and philosophy of life, if possible, other videos confirming the said claims. It turned out that her name was LaTascha Emmanuel and she owns a “LaTascha Emmanuel Ministries”. From my findings, it can now be concluded that it was not a mistake or error, preaching bare is actually her mode of operation. All her videos either reveal her busts or the absence of undies.

I am very happy that the Christian community is seriously criticizing her. There have been numerous critics of her mode of operation including articles, videos and even radio programmes. I still cannot believe the reality of what I have discovered, it just doesn’t make sense at all. Why would a woman be trying to attract people to God by exposing her breasts while preaching? It just doesn’t make any form of sense. She claims God called her, but does it make any sense? No it doesn’t.

The Truth Be Told

We are advised not to judge that we may not be judged (Luke 6:37). It’s funny because she was quoting this scripture in one of her videos, telling people not to judge others. In my opinion, I sense self-defence for her acts of seduction using the Bible. The truth is, this is one of the cases that actually needs judgment, we must speak out and speak the truth. The Bible says in Isaiah 5:20,

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

Let us judge the matter therefore and be truthful, even the worst stripper or prostitute of all time cannot face the camera like that on a decent Television programme. There are dressing etiquettes when it comes to video broadcasts. Have you ever seen a news reporter showcasing her nipples while reading the news, there is a makeup crew for crying out loud. You can only find such in acts of porn or nudity. The worst part is, this is Christianity we are talking about here, how can somebody in her correct senses do such a thing? Except she is not in her correct senses.

Trying to figure out the spirit behind her whorish acts, I can make the following deductions:

1. God might have actually called her, but the devil is the one using her based on her own lusts. In this case, the devil would be using her to mock God and Christendom by the display of such nudity under the umbrella of the body of Christ. The devil is the one ultimately using her to mock God and Christendom and drag people into hell through such acts of seduction.

Let us see what the Bible has to say through Paul, about diluting the gospel in Galatians 1:6-11,

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any manpreach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

She falls under this category that Paul warns about and condemns in the Bible. By leaving her breasts bare and preaching the gospel, she is automatically negating the gospel and seeking to please men even though she might be quoting the scriptures.

2. 1 Timothy 2:9 says,

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array

She also negates this gospel by wearing seductive apparel and not just anywhere, on the altar of God, which is her place of preaching. There is a reason why God wants women to dress modestly, this is because the female body was created to be pleasing before the eyes of men (their respective or prospective husbands). Once a woman dresses seductively, automatically, she catches the attention of men, whether she likes it or not, and whether the men like it or not.

I was going to work one morning and as I approached my working place, I sited a lady wearing black tights (or leggings) without anything covering it, and she was on the big side. When she approached a junction, as she was about to cross, I noticed a car stop right in the middle of the road, in that car was a man (the driver), a woman and two kids (they were probably a family). The man then stuck his head out and was gazing at this lady’s behind in awe, passing some comments at her; all this was with the supposed wife in the car and in the middle of the road. What happened? His sexual desires were triggered even with his wife and kids in the car, by a whorish lady who was practically naked. Again, we see the case of David and Bathsheba, whom after David saw her naked, committed adultery with her and killed her husband (Uriah) (2 Samuel 11). That is the power of the female body. That is the reason why I don’t blame churches who take it too far and instruct their females to wear baggy clothes, making them look like slaves.

3. In the end analysis, the most important thing is that the gospel is being preached. The devil might be using her, she might be doing it for money, she is definitely trying to seduce men, but the fact is, the gospel is being preached. Paul said something very important Philippians 1:15-18, he said:

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

The Negative Effect

We have seen the story of David and Bathsheba, and we practically know the power of the female body. The truth is, the negative effects of what she (the bare-breast preacher) is doing totally outweigh the supposed benefits, which is the effects of preaching the gospel. I was doing a lot of research on this lady, trying to see what I could lay my hands upon concerning her and her seductive philosophy, and in the course of research, I found a link. There was a twitter account described as the unofficial fan page of LaTascha Emmanuel. This person supposedly shares virtually all her tweets, so I dug deeper. I noticed that as a result of her disposition to nudity in the house of God, that was a motivation for further acts of nudity under the name of Christ. I saw pictures of women going nude with inscriptions on their bodies tagged “Nude for Christ”, there were also lots of pictures of nude women, mostly emphasizing on the breasts. There were also other acts of seduction and female stripper activities. Her acts of seduction in the name of Christ will only give room for more and more deception, seduction and ultimate destruction.

At the end of the day, it is virtually impossible for anybody to listen to what she is saying, they’ll only be hearing, but their concentration would be on the breasts. The viewers would only be motivated sexually, but there can’t be any form of power in the messages. The Bible in 2 Timothy chapter 3, gives us a hint of the manifestation of these deceptive activities in the last days. Verse 5 gives us a warning concerning such people, it says, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” There is no two ways about it, you have to run away from her lest you fall.

A major negative effect of her actions is the lack of credibility it would bring to Christendom. The world is already classifying Christians as fakes and hypocrites, this just gives them more impetus to criticize and judge us; no wonder the Bible says that judgment would begin at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17).

We’ve seen what Paul said, according to him, he was just happy that Christ was preached, whether in pretence or in truth. My advice for her is this, whether the devil is using her, or she is fulfilling her own lustful desires, trying to seduce the world or make money, she is still preaching the gospel; therefore, even though she might be destroyed, she has still proclaimed Christ. Who would have lost at the end? She, of course. I advise her to make a decision whether to follow Christ or the devil, she has to choose one; you cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). She should either change her life for the best and serve God in spirit and truth or change her life for the worst and serve the devil till she is destroyed and condemned forever.

The truth is, it’s actually funny, in fact, watching her just makes me laugh. It’s only painful that all this is happening under the name of Christ. This is why I really pity her. There is nobody that is perfect, there is nobody that is without sin, that is why we are advised to remove the beam in our own eyes before removing the mote in another’s eyes (Matthew 7:5), but the truth must be told. There is no man that would say he doesn’t like women (except the homosexuals, who will burn in hell if they don’t change), if not, why are they married? I personally would love for her to change for the best, rededicate her life to Christ and serve him in spirit and in truth, openly condemn such acts of seduction in the house of God and proclaim the truth, this way, she would really bring people to Christ.

In conclusion, we are in the last days, and whether we like it or not, there are Biblical prophecies in motion that must be fulfilled. There is nothing wrong with making yourself available and fulfilling the negative prophecies, like seducing and deceiving people; you are the one that would be destroyed. The question is, where do you lie? Are you like Judas Iscariot who made himself available to fulfil the prophecy of the betrayal of Jesus? Whether we like it or not, we must be playing one part or the other in the fulfilment of these prophecies, it’s just a matter of where you lie. There are the antichrists and false prophets, hypocrites and deceivers, and there are the true worshippers; then there are those who would be deceived by these deceivers; there are the vessels unto honour and vessels unto dishonour; where do you lie? 2 Timothy 3:13 says, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” If you are still wondering why LaTasha Emmanuel is embarking on such a journey, just remember 2 Timothy 3:13 above.

You decide!!!

Cheers and God bless you infinitely!!!
