After those pupils finished chanting their victory song, I particularly decided to follow up on the outcome of events. You see, they exercised the power of confession, when they chanted:

Gold (Name of their own house)
Standing on the field
In the name of Jesus
We shall come first

This was really beautiful of them. The Bible says in Job 22:28,

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”

So I must give it to the kids, decreeing and chanting that they’ll come first. They even applied the name of Jesus, a name at which every knee must bow (Philippians 2:10), that was really smart.

Now this is where they messed up, they chanted against their innocent rivals, who were also competitors in the school sports competition, innocent children. This was their chant against them:

Diamond (Name of one of their competitors)
Standing on the field
In the name of Jesus
You shall come last

They even cursed them in the name of Jesus, can you imagine? When they did this, they committed 3 offences:
1.    They waged war against the innocent. Psalm 7:3-5 says,

“O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust.”

You don’t pray to succeed while praying for another’s downfall.

2.    They cursed a group of people whom God had not cursed. Numbers 23:8 says,

“How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?”

3.    They despised the little ones. Matthew 18:10 says,

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”

When they did that, their angels went to work on their behalf.

The Outcome

Outcome of pupils victory songYesterday was the Inter-house Sports Competition and I was very eager to find out the results. There were 6 houses participating in the competition. Today, I called one of the officials and inquired of her particularly based on the 2 houses in question, and this was their result:

Gold, the curser, eventually came last (sixth) and,
Diamond, the cursed, eventually came third.

So you see, let this be a lesson for all of us. Stop wishing others bad, in most cases, rather pray for them, especially when the person(s) in question are not necessarily against you. The Bible tells us that God multiplied Job after he prayed for his friends, Job 42:10 says,

“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

God bless you as you try and live peaceably with your fellows and make the world a better place.

Do have a splendid weekend.

Cheers and God bless you infinitely!!!
